The next stop in India for me was New Dehli. I could take a nice long run there. The experience in this picturesque city was so different from that I had in Kolkata - so beautiful and peaceful.
New Dehli was also hot, but the humidity was much less. That made it easier to run, but made my very thirsty.
This dog chased birds away at a pond along Rajpath.
Rashtrapati Bhavan at the end of Rajpath.
Little trees were planted to promote greening of the city.
But the city was mainly very green - this is a typical street.
Lodi Gardens - supposed to be the largest of the gardens in Dehli.
The taxi that took me to the airport was a Hindustan Ambassador.

You are lucky that you were able to run in New Delhi at all. When we were there it was Winter and while it didn't seem at all cold to us, evidently the natives differed in this outlook. There was so much smoke in the air that even inside the hotel, the air was visible. Running on the treadmill irritated my lungs.
I could have run in Bombay since the air was fine there, but didn't have the time. The only runs I took were on the beaches of Goa. Very nice.
Thank you for your comment. I've been busy as you can see and just noticed your post. I hurt my back last Monday and could not run for a while. I finally did a 5K in Cape Town yesterday.
I enjoyed your Cape Town pictures a lot. Glad your back is on the mend.
