Two Runs in Okinawa

This is a post that should have been done almost a week ago.  Last weekend, my wife and I were in Okinawa - and could have two morning runs.

On Sunday, we went west from our hotel.

Rock wall to protect the road.

Pumice from a volcano island had washed up on beaches.

Some areas were rocky.

On Monday, I went east.  Parts of the run, I had to be on the road.

On this side, pumice was bad, too.

A hermit crab.

A close up of pumice.

A trail between the beach and a road.

Red "Sennenboku" - means 1,000-year wood.

Two Local Runs of the Last Weekend

I enjoyed local runs last weekend.

On Saturday, I could go all the way to Shakujii Park.

Zenpukuji Pond.

A long entrance to Shakujii Hikawa Shrine.

A man feeding ducks at the main pond.

Red plum blossom.

It was a recyclable trash day.

On Sunday, I ran to Maruike Pond.

A bamboo bush.

A plum blossom and Maruike Pond.

Pretty white herons in Senkawa River.

The first cherry blossom I saw of this season at Nishi-En of Inokashira Park.

Benzaiten Shrine's copper roof is now finished.
