Nebuta Matsuri

Nebuta Matsuri is one of the most famous and the biggest festivals in Japan.  Last Thursday night, I had an opportunity to participate in it.

There were over 20 beautiful Dashi (floats) paraded around the City of Aomori.

Here are Haneko (jumpers) that parade with the floats.

Three million people came to enjoy this fantastic festival.

How colourful and exotic the many floats were an exciting event enjoyed by so many. My last couple of blogs have been about a parade of 57 floats in the Cook Islands, these were totally different but just as great to watch going past. Maybe you would like to have a look at them. Just click on my name and it will take you back to my blog site. Glennis.

Thank you for your nice message. I just checked out your blog featuring the Cook Islands celebration. That must have been a great parade. New Zealand looks very beautiful!
