Morning Runs in Osaka

I was back in Osaka earlier this week.  I could go for two morning runs.

Tuesday morning, I ran down south from my hotel right by Osaka Station.

A notice for victory parades for Hanshin Tigers and Orix Buffaloes for their winning of Championships for Central and Pacific Pro Baseball Leagues this year.

Kita Mido was decorated.

Dotonbori area scenes around 8 AM.

Commuters coming from Osaka Station.

Wednesday morning, I ran down to Dojima River, then went east  to Osaka Castle Park.

A lion statue of Naniwa Bridge.

I then ran along the moat of the castle.

The memorial of Toyotomi Hideyori and Yodo-dono taking their lives when the castle fell.

The explanation says these big stones were brought here all the way from Shodoshima, but were never used for the castle construction.

Miraiza Osaka-jo - until the end of the war, it was used by the Japanese military.

Little students.

The circular walk bridge - east edge of Nakanoshima.

Osaka is supposed to host EXPO 2025.

A show window by Osaka Station.
