I am posting pictures I took there, mainly from my runs.
I checked the map and ran on the streets and beaches to the Golden Gate Bridge. Running to the bridge was a pure joy. The top of the red toweres were hidden by the clouds, giving me the sense of how grand the structure was.
I finally got to the foot of the bridge and touched the "Hopper's Hands" before heading back to the city.
San Francisco is definitely a city of hills. You can get very good workouts.
Here's a picuture I took of Alcatraz Island.
At Pier 39, there are many sealions.
A bread factory at Fisherman's Wharf - this lady was making turtles behind an alligator.
An Italian restrant featured this interesting photo on the wall - a footballer bride.

Frisco is a great town--I love it when I get a chance to go there: I think I have been there 5 times. Once for the Marine Corps, once for the University of Vermont, twice for Affymetrix, Inc. and once for my cousin's wedding.
Summer is often the worst time to go since that is when the weather is bad. I think Mark Twain said, "The coldest Winter I ever endured was a Summer in San Francisco."
Thank you for your comment. Yes, it was so cold. My son was got a fever while he was there and that got to me after I came back to Japan. I had miserable days with high temperature. I will know better. The Mark Twain's comment is really true.
