I visited 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami affected areas in Tohoku yesterday and today.
This morning, I could run in Kesennuma.
The fishing town still has a long way to go before it is fully recovered from the damage.
The port as seen from my hotel.
Beautiful sunrise over the harbor.
There are still huge scars left from the tsunami - these areas are completely flatten.
Some buildings still stand, but not usable.
A lot of re-construction work is going on.
They are trying to raise the level of the ground.
Temporary breakwater.
The entrance to the fish market - the blue marking at the 2nd floor shows where the tsunami water level reached.
The fishing town still has a long way to go before it is fully recovered from the damage.
