Marugame Half Marathon 2020

On the first Palindrome day in 909 years (yesterday), I attended Marugame Half Marathon.

The weather was so sunny and warm.  So many people participated in this run.

It is the 74th race since its start in 1946.

Serious competitive runners warming up before the race at Piraka Stadium.

Runners lining up orderly before the start - this is one of the most organized half-marathon races I've participated.

I saw many of these amazing shoes.

At around 5th km - the competitive runners that started 25 min. earlier were coming back already.

After the finish back at the stadium.

A new Japanese record for Half Marathon was established today - 1:00:00!  Of course, he wore the new amazing shoes.
