I live and work in Tokyo - one of the largest cities in the world.

If the surrounding area is included - Greater Tokyo Area has over 34 million people living within 70 km (approx. 43 mi) radius area.

We are very lucky to have a very extensive metro system.

Wow! That makes Tokyo about twice the size of New York City.
Also, if 34 million live in the metro area, then that is about 1/4 of all Japanese people!
Unfortunately, it is true. I did not know it myself until I wrote my blog episode and found it in Wiki. There are many, many people here.
