Rainy Morning Run in Kinugawa Onsen

It was raining cold this morning in Kinugawa Onsen.  I braved a run - and it turned out great!

There are many hotels that were shut down.

A monument reminds us of Boshin War.  The battle that look place here was one of a few losing fight by Meiji Government in 1868.

A stream by the monument - there must have been samurai fights here.

A trail of Kinugawa Park - a bit north of Onsen area.

A grassy area of the park - for concerts.

An old inn that was build in 1868 - the same year as the battle near by.

A view of Kinugawa River from Kinuiwabashi Bridge.

Takimi (Waterfall looking) Bridge - looked like it was closed.

A humorous demon boy.  "Kinu" means Angry demon.

Kurogane Bridge - the original bridge was completed in 1910.

A repair of the cliff was being done.

Fureaibashi (friendship) Bridge.

A view of the river from Fureaibashi.

Kinuta the demon stands in front of the station.

I was lucky to see a testing of a steam locomotive due to debut this summer.
